Footswitch „Office“ – the reasonably priced transcription solution
With our footswitch model „office“ you can easily operate the playback of your audio and video files with your feet while your hands can remain on the keyboard. The footswitch is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux systems. It can accelerate your typing process up to 30%.
Transcription software
All you need to get started is to download a free transcription software. We recommend f4audio, f4media or ExpressScribe. f4media will allow you to transcribe from audio and video files (mp3, wma, wav, ogg, aif, mov, avi and mpg, and to some extent also DVDs). When transcribing DSS files, we recommend using ExpressScribe.
Plug and play
You don`t need to install any drivers. Simply install the software, connect the footswitch to your USB port and you are all set.
This is how it works:
1. Choose, install and launch one of the recommended transcription software options.
2. Open the audio or video file you want to work with by dragging it into the application window.
3. Connect the footswitch to your USB port and start working.
- press space bar to start playback
- press left arrow key to rewind
- press right arrow key to fast forward

I've followed a link to this footpedal from Atlas ti which suggests the hardware works to control transciprtion within Atlas ti itself -- exactly what I'm looking for. I do have Atlas ti 6 which includes this new functionality. Does this work?
I am a US customer, and it appears that Infinity is sold in the US. Which model is this one you sell -- is it the IN-19? I ask so I can study the experience of other users.
What is shipping cost/time to the US, and do you take PayPal payments so I can avoid the new punitive charges American credit card companies are charging for overseas transactions.

thanks for your questions! The office pedal is the new one from Infinity and we sell them directly in the US without any shipping costs!
But this pedal is not working togehter with atlas.ti (as far as we know). Only our yellow footswitch "science" which is produced in germany is working with atlas.ti right out of the box but costs a lot more (+150 dollars incl. shipping from germany). The pedal "office" will cost around 69 dollars (48 Euro) including shipping in the US!! Payment via paypal is possible.
So, if you like to transcribe you need to decide wether you use the cheap solution: f4 and the office pedal for the main transcription work and afterwards using the f-keys in atlas.ti without a pedal. Or you take the science pedal that works directly with atlas.ti or f4, but is a lot more expencieve.

Hi,
I'm from Switzerland, and am looking for a foot pedal that will work with f4 and Atlas.ti. Your office model seems interesting, but the link for the price doesn't seem to work. How much is it, can I ship to Switzerland, and how long will that take? Are there any other models (I'm not sure about the single action pedal, it sounds confusing) that you can advise?

Prices please see link. So Switzerland we ship without 19% german VAT.
Shipping takes 5-6 days. (depends on customs)
You can use both pedals. The single works without extra rewind or forward switch. (To rewind you double-press). If you do not need to take it arround I would use the "office"
I have the Infinity "Office" foot switch, and it does not seem to work with your Transcriptions software. I'm using an Intel Mac OS 10.6, have installed Perian and Flip 4 Mac. What do I need to do to make this work?

Hello, unfortunately the Infinity footswitch is not compatible with the transcriptions software.
Hi I am a PhD student in Australia who is going to use the Zoom H2 to record interviews for my research. I then need to transcribe them and am looking for some software and a set of headphones and footpedal. I looked on your website but could not see Austalia as a purchase option. Can I purchase from here and if so how much would it cost for shipping and how long would it take? I am completely new to this so would appreciate any advice you can give on the transcription process and on the software I need.

thanks for your question. We are able to ship to australia, but the costs are very high (estimated 50 Dollar). So i suggest that you start working only with our software using the "f4" key to start and pause.
