Please run 'linux_start.sh' to start f4.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Problems During Program Start-up
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If a dependency can not be resolved, the script returns a list unresolved system requirements. Please install the missing dependencies using your package manager.

Linux: In case the program start takes a long time, it might help to install the following package: 'appmenu-gtk2-module'

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Shortcut Keys
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Only shortcut keys (key combinations) not used by the operating system can be used in f4. If a key combination in f4 does not work as described, please check if that shortcut is already used by the operating system. To rectify such conflicts you can change the keys assigned by your operating system. Alternatively you can change almost any key assignment in f4.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Footpedal
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
To work with the office-pedal in f4transcript for Linux, you should copy
the 10-at-footswitches.rules in your /lib/udev/rules.d/ folder ( or
/usr/lib/udev/rules.d, if /lib/udev/rules.d/ doesnt exists)
and run

udevadm control --reload

to realod the udev-rules. Furthermore you should ensure, that the User
is a member of the group "users".

Support for high resolution screens (High DPI)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Changing the scaling during the running operation of f4 is not intended under Linux! Therefore please always quit the application before changing the scaling.

There is no High DPI support for XFCE.

Cinnamon
=> Settings => Fonts => Font scaling factor
Changing the scaling of the font affects the complete scaling of f4.

Gnome
=> Displays
Changing the scaling within the display devices affects the complete scaling of f4. Activating Fractional Scaling under Gnome allows
also scaling factors between 100% and 200%.

KDE Plasma
=> Fonts => Force fonts DPI
Changing the scaling of the font affects the complete scaling of f4.
96 DPI corresponds to a scaling factor of 1.0, 144 DPI corresponds to a scaling factor of 1.5, etc.
Restarting the computer or logging out of the session is not necessary.

=> Display and Monitor => Displays => Scale Display
The scaling of the display also works. But not always really good.
Please note that you have to log out of the current session before restarting the computer. Otherwise a crash of f4 may occur after the restart.
If the crash occurs repeatedly, f4 can also be started once from the command line (from the 64-bit folder of the application):

QT_SCALE_FACTOR=1.0 ./f4analysis

MATE Desktop Environment
=> Preferences => Appearance => Fonts => Details => Resolution => Dots per inch (DPI)
Changing the scaling of the font affects the complete scaling of f4.
96 DPI corresponds to a scaling factor of 1.0, 144 DPI corresponds to a scaling factor of 1.5, etc.
Restarting the computer or logging out of the session is not necessary.
